  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (approx. 2 1/4 tsp)
  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 jar raspberry preserves
  • 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 24 tbsp whole milk

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by combining warm water and sugar in a mixing bowl. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add bread flour, all-purpose flour, salt, and olive oil into the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms and knead on a floured surface until smooth.
  3. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm area for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Shape into a rectangle about 1 inch thick and create dimples on the surface.
  5. Spread raspberry preserves evenly over the top and bake for approximately 22 minutes until golden brown. Allow cooling slightly before drizzling with a mixture of confectioners’ sugar and milk.
