  • 2¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (vegan alternative, melted and cooled)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3¾4¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 quarts vegetable oil (or a neutral oil of your choice)
  • 2 whole graham crackers (crushed) (~½ cup graham cracker crumbs)
  • 7 oz vegan marshmallows fluff
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Warm the whole milk until lukewarm. Sprinkle active dry yeast over it and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and eggs into the yeast mixture. Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl covered with a towel for about 1 hour.
  4. Shape the donuts by rolling out the dough and cutting it into rounds.
  5. Fry each donut in vegetable oil until golden brown.
  6. For filling, mix room temperature butter, powdered sugar, and heavy whipping cream until smooth; fold in vegan marshmallow fluff.
  7. Fill each donut with the marshmallow mixture and top with melted chocolate and crushed graham crackers.
