  • 1/4 cup natural unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped caramel squares
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with a silicone mat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda.
  3. In a larger bowl, cream the softened butter with brown and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla; mix until combined.
  4. Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips, caramel pieces, and pecans (reserve some for topping).
  5. Use a cookie scoop to form dough balls and press reserved add-ins on top.
  6. Place on the prepared baking sheet about three inches apart and bake for 10–14 minutes. Let cool on the sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
