  • 500g chicken breast
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 3 cups cooked white rice

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss chicken pieces with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil until well coated.
  2. Heat a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat and cook the chicken until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  3. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and sliced bell peppers to the pan; stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until tender yet crisp.
  4. Return the chicken to the pan. Mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and chili flakes in another bowl; pour over the chicken and veggies.
  5. Stir until everything is well coated and glossy. Serve hot over warm rice, garnished with chopped green onions if desired.
