  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • For garnish: sesame seeds
  • For garnish: 2 green onions (sliced)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, minced ginger, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and optional chili flakes.
  2. Place the beef belly in a slow cooker or baking dish and pour the marinade over it. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  3. Cook on low heat in a slow cooker for about 6 hours or bake covered at 300°F (150°C) for approximately 3 hours until fork-tender.
