Indulge in the refreshing delight of Strawberry Sago, a quick and creamy dessert perfect for hot days. This easy-to-make treat features soft sago pearls combined with luscious strawberries and rich coconut milk, creating a delightful balance of flavors and textures.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup sago pearls
  • 2 lbs strawberries (washed and stems removed)
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 3 tablespoons condensed milk (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup coconut milk (whole fat chilled)
  • Chopped strawberry pieces (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the sago: In a medium saucepan, boil water and add the sago pearls. Reduce heat to medium-high and cook until transparent (about 15 minutes), stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, cover, and let sit for another 10-15 minutes.
  2. Cool the sago: Strain and rinse the cooked sago under cold water to stop cooking. Submerge in water to prevent drying.
  3. Blend strawberries: Combine washed strawberries, evaporated milk, and condensed milk in a blender. Blend until smooth, adjusting sweetness as desired. Chill in the refrigerator.
  4. Combine ingredients: Drain sago and mix with chilled coconut milk and strawberry blend in a large bowl.
  5. Serve: Distribute into cups and garnish with fresh strawberry pieces.
