  • 2 pizza doughs
  • 300g mozzarella (for baking)
  • 40g butter
  • 1/2 bunch parsley (fresh)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C.
  2. Cut mozzarella into coarse pieces.
  3. Slice each pizza dough into four strips vertically, then cut each strip into four squares.
  4. Place mozzarella in each square of dough, fold gently, and roll into balls—aim for 23 balls total.
  5. Arrange the dough balls on a baking tray in a tree shape, starting with six at the bottom and decreasing by one ball per layer.
  6. For egg wash, separate yolk from white, mix yolk with a splash of water.
  7. Brush all dough balls with egg wash and bake for about 15 minutes until golden.
  8. While baking, melt butter with chopped garlic and parsley.
  9. Brush baked Special occasion tree generously with garlic butter before serving warm.
