  • 2 lb thinly sliced sirloin steak or boneless beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1/2 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bag (12 oz) frozen broccoli florets
  • 4 tbsp cornstarch (for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef into thin strips and mince the garlic.
  2. In your slow cooker, combine sliced beef, beef stock, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and minced garlic. Stir well.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or high for about 3 hours until the beef is tender.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch with water until smooth and stir into the crock pot along with frozen broccoli.
  5. Once thickened and cooked through, serve over cooked white rice if desired.
