  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup strong coffee
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon gingerbread syrup (for topping)
  • 1 gingerbread man cookie (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, molasses, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg to make the gingerbread syrup. Bring to a boil while stirring until the sugar dissolves. Let cool and store in an airtight container.
  2. Whip 1 tablespoon of gingerbread syrup with heavy cream using a handheld frother until soft peaks form.
  3. Heat ¼ cup of milk gently until simmering, then froth using a French press or frother.
  4. In your favorite mug, mix strong coffee with 2 tablespoons of gingerbread syrup. Slowly add frothed milk and top with whipped gingerbread cream.
