  • 12 Tbs. mild chili powder
  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 4 oz. spaghetti or angel hair pasta, broken into thirds
  • 1 15 oz. can chili beans, undrained
  • 1 46 oz. can tomato juice
  • 1 Tbs. granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • Shredded cheddar cheese (for garnishing)
  • Corn chips (for garnishing)
  • Sour cream (for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, brown 2 lbs. of ground beef with 1 diced yellow onion until the meat is cooked through.
  2. Stir in 1-2 tablespoons of mild chili powder, 1 teaspoon each of kosher salt and pepper.
  3. Add 4 oz. of broken spaghetti or angel hair pasta, 1 can of undrained chili beans, 46 oz. of tomato juice, and 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar; mix well.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes until pasta is tender.
  5. Prepare cinnamon rolls according to package or recipe instructions and serve warm alongside the chili.
