  • 1.5 cups plain bread crumbs
  • 1.5 tsp garlic powder (divided)
  • 2.5 tsp dried Italian seasoning (divided)
  • 1.5 tsp salt (divided)
  • Oil for frying
  • Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mozzarella balls by draining and patting them dry.
  2. Set up three bowls: one with flour mixed with salt and Italian seasoning, another with beaten eggs, and the last with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, salt, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Coat each mozzarella ball in flour, dip in egg, then roll in breadcrumbs; repeat for double coating.
  4. Freeze coated balls for 1–2 hours to maintain shape during frying.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F and fry the mozzarella balls in small batches until golden brown (about 60–90 seconds).
