Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Blackened seasoning (or Cajun seasoning)
  • Smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain, reserving one cup of cooking water.
  2. Season chicken with blackened seasoning and smoked paprika. Heat olive oil in a skillet, sear the chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add chicken broth, allowing it to simmer while scraping the pan's bottom.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle bubble. Whisk in Parmesan cheese until melted into a smooth sauce; season with salt and pepper.
  5. Toss the cooked linguine into the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency.
  6. Slice rested chicken and serve over pasta, garnished with fresh parsley.
