  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 can (14 oz) tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to heat preference)
  • Salt and sugar to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced or grated
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken by combining yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric, ground cumin, smoked paprika, grated ginger, minced garlic, and salt in a bowl. Add chicken and coat evenly; refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté chopped onion until translucent. Add marinated chicken and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in tomato paste and puree; simmer for about 5 minutes. Add heavy cream and chili powder; let simmer for another 10-15 minutes until thickened.
  4. For the garlic sauce, whisk together mayonnaise, yogurt, minced garlic, and lemon juice in a separate bowl.
  5. Serve hot with crispy fries on one side and warm naan on the other, drizzled generously with garlic sauce.
