Ingredients
Scale
1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1 cup plain yogurt
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp smoked paprika
Salt to taste
3 tbsp unsalted butter
1 onion, finely chopped
5 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp grated ginger
1 tsp chili powder
1 cup tomato puree
1 cup heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp sugar (optional)
Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
Marinate the chicken by mixing yogurt, lemon juice, cumin, garam masala, turmeric, smoked paprika, and salt in a bowl. Coat chicken chunks and let sit for at least 30 minutes.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté onions until translucent. Add garlic and ginger; cook until fragrant.
Stir in chili powder and tomato puree; mix well.
Pour in heavy cream while stirring continuously. Season with salt and pepper; simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened.
Add marinated chicken to the sauce and cook on medium-low heat for about 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
Prepare hand-cut fries according to your preferred method—baking or frying until golden brown.
