  • 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 yellow onion (grated)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 yellow onion (diced)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp chopped dill

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine grated onion, ground beef, breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, heavy cream, and egg. Mix until just combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into four patties about ¾ inch thick.
  3. Heat olive oil and butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant (about 2 minutes). Add salt, black pepper, and flour; stir until incorporated.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and let simmer while scraping any browned bits from the skillet.
  6. Add heavy cream and chopped dill; bring to a boil then reduce to simmer for about 2 minutes until thickened. Return the patties to the skillet and heat through.
