Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of chicken ham
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pound each chicken breast to about ¼ inch thickness. Layer each breast with a slice of chicken ham and Swiss cheese, then roll tightly and secure with toothpicks.
  3. Dredge each roll in flour seasoned with salt and pepper, dip in beaten eggs, and coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the rolls for about 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer to a baking dish and bake uncovered for approximately 20–25 minutes until cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F/74°C).
  6. For the sauce, melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, then gradually add milk until smooth. Stir in Dijon mustard and Parmesan cheese; season with salt and pepper.
  7. Remove toothpicks from the rolls, slice into rounds, drizzle with sauce, and garnish as desired.
