Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak tips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 12 oz twisted pasta (rotini or fusilli)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the twisted pasta in boiling salted water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Add steak tips seasoned with Cajun seasoning and other spices; sear until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt more butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add heavy cream and milk, then stir in cream cheese until smooth.
  4. Lower heat and add Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses; mix until thick and creamy. Adjust seasoning with reserved pasta water as needed.
  5. Toss cooked pasta in the sauce, then serve topped with seared steak tips and garnished with parsley.
