  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1–2 tablespoons honey
  • 1–2 tablespoons fig preserves
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until large enough to wrap around the brie.
  3. Place the brie cheese wheel in the center of the puff pastry.
  4. Gently score the top of the brie with a crosshatch pattern for better flavor infusion.
