Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • 2 large apples, peeled and diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture gently until just combined. Stir in the diced apples evenly throughout.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each fritter. Bake for about 15–18 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  6. While they bake, prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Once baked, let the fritters cool slightly before drizzling with glaze and enjoy warm.
