  • 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  2. Pound chicken breasts to about 1/2 inch thick for even cooking.
  3. Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in one shallow dish. Drizzle olive oil over both sides of each chicken breast in another dish.
  4. Coat each chicken breast with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place breaded chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer; cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. After cooking, spoon marinara sauce over each piece and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  7. Return to the air fryer for an additional 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
